Our volunteers see beyond the abstractions and statistics of poverty. They come to know real people with real needs. Volunteers are the heart of the program that can share their time and talents in many ways.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Below are ways that our partners and volunteers can support our families:

  • Provide basic groceries

  • Provide a home cooked meal

  • Coordinate a food/item drive

  • Promoting the organization fundraisers and services to the community

  • Assisting parents with children and helping them with homework

  • Providing specialized services, like resume writing, financial counseling, couples support classes, parenting classes, etc.

  • Providing local transportation OR bus passes for transportation for work, school, children’s needs, and appointments

  • Facilitating a kids activity

  • Coordinating or assisting with a home project

Volunteer Testimony with Breanne Minefee

Education is a value and part of our plan for long-term independence is instilling this value in our families. The tutoring program provides a safe place where children can learn.
